What Causes Sudden Gain In Weight?
Hi, I´m 19 years old and have pcos. I was takingYaz till two and a half months ago when i stopped and started on spironolactone, the first month was all right, but then I went on a trip an missed about ten days of spiro... since then I have this terrible acne and have gained about ten pounds in five weeks! I don't want to go back to yaz because it was killing my libido. Are these symptoms going to improve withtime or do I have to change my med again?

Spirnolactone has different uses. In some persons it is used for hypertension but it can also be used for acne and pcos because it blocks androgens (male hormones).
PCOS can be associated with acne.
The missed doses of spirnolactone would have contributed to the worsening acne. The increased weight may be fluid retention.
