What Causes Sudden Confusion And Weakness In The Body?

My grandson will be 13 tomorrow. He is healthy and on no medication. he does have alopecial universalis since last summer. Earlier this evening he asked for a tylenol and went to get it in the bathroom. after he was gone for a little too long, my daughter found him crying in the bathroom saying he couldn t pick up the tylenol and he was stumbling when trying to walk. He is confused, can t answer normal questions and not making sense. he is in ER now and they are running tests. all his vitals are normal, what could be the cause of these symtoms?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

* As per my clinical experience, this sounds to be psychiatric ailment from underlying anxiety if reports turn out to be normal.
* I would recommend to get him counselled with an expert child psychologist.

Hope I have answered your query.
