What Causes Stye Along With Swelling And Numbness In Eyebrow?

I have a swollen eyebrow with several hard lumps that turn into points on occasion. Swelling has started to cover eye in past but goes down again. Started with hard lump & numbness possibly after a small stye. 3/4 eyebrow currently numb. GPs have ignored it for over 2 yrs. now swelling starts almost by by bridge our entire brow & into forehead & almost temple. Eye Dr said massage it & referred me to Gp who say it is stress. What is it pls? I googled cyst but it s big & feels like a thick circular solidified fluid net of toxin or dried blood? Under skin. Should I be concerned. Sometimes v painful. Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
What problem you are facing could be due to bacterial infection of sebaceous glands of Zeis at the base of the eyelashes and its inflammation swelling on the edge of an eyelid. Since it appears to be chronic, it may take few days for the complete cure.
Kindly do the following to overcome it.
1. Hot water fomentation to the affected eyes everyday thrice daily.
2. Use eye drops containing Polymyxin-B, Chloranphenicol and Dexamethasone every day at least 4 times a day.
3. Use applicaps ointment at night time.
Take care that dust does not enter the eyes by protecting by wearing glasses.
Gradually, your symptoms should get better and be relieved of it.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
