General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for writing to Healthcare Magic.
The foul smell is a result of the build up of secretions and discharge that would have normally been removed.
At the moment, you do not need to be worried.
She need to have a thorough wash and cleanse. Ask her to drink plenty of fluids to keep herself well hydrated. Let her avoid moisture and keep the area clean and dry.
Be aware of signs of infection developing like discharge, fever and abdominal pain and cramps. If any of these symptoms develop, then she needs to see the doctor as she would need administration of antibiotics.
Hope the information provided is helpful.
Take care and all the best.
