What Causes Strong Vaginal Odor?

My partner says my vagina has a bad odor sometimes and we cannot do certain positions, he also complains that his penis burns when he enters me, but that doesn t happen every time we have sex. I have normal pH level and I don t have any infections. What can be the cause of this and how do we fix the burning and the odor?
