What Causes Stomach Upset Along With Yellow Stool And Vomiting?

Mild upset stomach (and I NEVER have an upset stomach), urge to eliminate midday each of the past 4 days, yellow stools, no vomiting, no problems keeping food or liquid down. No recent change in my diet; type 2 diabetic, few starches or sugars in daily diet, heavier on protein and veggies.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* The yellow stool with upset stomach indicate intestine infection through some sort of bacteria or virus most likely.

* My guidelines at present

- drink more liquids
- control of blood sugar
- dietary precautions to avoid spices, junk foods
- prescription of GI specific antibiotic as metronidazole or else with pro and pre biotics containing lacto bacillus
- fresh yogurt in the diet to support the gut flora recovery.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
