What Causes Stomach Pain And Fever While Having Diabetes?

My daughter is 5 years old and she s a Type 1 diabetic. She s been complaining for two days that her side stomach hurts and she s been running a fever. What s wrong? Her blood sugar numbers are a little high but I believe it s do to her illness. Which is common when she s sick. But I don t understand why her side is hurting her so much. Is this serious enough to take her to the ER?

As your daughter is type 1 diabetic, having abdominal pain, fever and also her sugar is high then you should consult pediatrician as soon as possible.
Your doctor may advise tests like BSL, CBC, electrolytes, ABG, USG abdomen etc. to find exact cause of such complaints.
