What Causes Stomach Pain After Removing B-cell MALT Lymphoma?

My friend feels un well he had a B cell malt lymphoma removed recently no evidence of any other tumors. Complains of general unwell feeling including stomach pain recent ct scan of all organs shows everything normal no lymphoma in bone marrow. Why does he feel this way?
