General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello ,
Since primrose capsules are derived from a primrose plant. It contain some essential fatty acids, which can be treated for any inflamation ,irritable bowl syndrome and some autoimmune diseases.
My opinion would be first rule out the cause of colitis.I would like to know ,wether you have gone through some important investigation, for example, endoscopy, stool test or ultrasound abdomen. If yes ,can you share the reports further.Else you should stop the primrose for now,as it might being not tolerated by your stomach.
You can have other pain killer after discussing with your doctor or can ask further here without any hesitation.
Regards,Dr.Maheshwari
