What Causes Stomach Discomfort And Nausea For A 55-year-old?

Hi, thank you. I am a 55-yr-old female experiencing stomach discomfort; strong nausea, a feeling of a lump under my sternum... I am taking 200 mg cimetidine 2x daily which helps for a few hours. Is a doctor necessary or is there a home remedy I can pursue? Thank you.

Hi,

Since your symptoms gets better with Cimetidine but you can not continue it for very long due to its side effects and a feeling of lump is not a normal thing to palpate in ones abdomen. I suggest you to visit a doctor for you issues and have some initial tests like ultrasound of abdomen for the lump and endoscopic examination of your stomach as well.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
