What Causes Stomach Cramps While On A Generic Arthrotec?

I was prescibed generic Arthyrotec 75 mg. Took for 13 days, begain having smoth craps. Stop medication, but 3 weeks later still having haking, chills. Dorctor prescribed proparanolol (have not taken yet) and am on Toprol and Hydrochlorothiazide. YYYY@YYYY

First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.

Based on the history you have shared, it has Diclofenac Sodium which can cause inflammation of THE stomach layers due to acid increase though Misoprostol is added to decrease that side effect but it may also cause smooth muscle contractions and cramps.

It's better to use antacids and Motility agents like Itopride for smooth gastric contractions.
