What Causes Stomach Cramps When Diagnosed With Gallstones?

Hi, it s my husband... he is been diagnosed with gallstones and getting stomach cramps frequently but no shoulder pain! Experienced little lower back pain sometimes! But the GI doesn t think it s due to gallstones and done MRI, EGD,and nothing abnormal and now going for gastric emptying study! Just because he is not feeling on the right side and no back pain! Now am scared ... could this be gastroparesis?
