What Causes Stomach Cancer?

My sister has cancer and is at home. She has drank enough water to have passed some water. It was empied at 7:30 am and is not enough to measure. Hospice comes 3 times a week was here yesterday. Should we be concerned about this? I am worried our father died of uti. My sister has stomach cancer and will not get out of bed. Could this be part of the problem.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

If she is using enough fluids then urine should be produced.

Reduced urine would occur if she is losing fluids and the body is trying to hold on to the liquid or if the is blockage of the urinary tract or kidney/liver or heart disease.

If the reduced urine output continues with no obvious cause, she may need to be seen.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
