Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 13 year old son has been complaining about stomach pain for the last two weeks. We went to the ER last night and all they said was he had swollen lymph nodes in his stomach and for him to take Zantac two times a day for the next ten days. Problem is he has had these stomach issues off and on for years now and nobody seems to know what exactly is going on. My question is could he have Chrons disease or something else and they just keep missing it?
Crohns is one form of inflammatory bowel disease (inflammation of the bowel). It would normally be associated with a change in bowel habits, usually diarrhea would occur.
Since he has ongoing abdominal problems, you may want to consider taking him to see a gastroenterologist, a specialist who deals with the gastrointestinal tract.
He or she would be able to help
