What Causes Stinging Sensation Below The Hips On The Left Side?

ive had a stinging sensation just below my left hip like a insect bite and has been coming and going and slowly getting worse i just dealt with in some times it would start burning now i just realise it is now feeling like a bruise and has spread to a larger area and still fells like something under the skin??

Hi,

You have sciatic nerve pressure symptom. It could be pyriformis muscle symptom or some boney part (arthritis) or swelling of the bursa and joint pressing.

MRI would clear the diagnosis followed by specific management (medicines, local steroids, physiotherapy or surgery in few cases.) Please consult an orthopedic surgeon.
