AM A 55 YEAR OLD FEMALE WHO 4 DAYS AGO STARTED HAVING NEEDLE LIKE PAINS IN RIGHT EYE SOCKET BETWEEN EYE BROW AND EYE BALL THAT HAVE SPREAD AND WORSENED TO CONSTANT NEEDLE PAIN .... LIKE LOTS OF NEEDLES STABBING HAVE HAD A VIRAL RESPERATORY INFECTION FOR 3 WEEKS ... STUFFED NOSE , LOTS OF MUCUS . ANY IDEA ? KIMBERLY

Hi, Looking at the history, your symptoms suggest frontal/ethmoidal sinusitis.It is also important to rule out more dangerous diseases like cavernous sinus thrombosis if you have tenderness over eye ball, redness of eye and swelling. It is better to consult a ENT surgeon for proper evaluation and management.
