What Causes Stinging/burning Sensation On Knee Cap After Total Knee Replacement?
My partner had a total knee replacement 4 months ago and is now experiencing a stinging/burning sensation on his kneecap near the scar. This is causing him a lot of pain and hindering his walking. Do you know what this could be and if you do is there anyway of easing it for him. Thank you.
that can be a sign of neuroma formation meaning a superficial nerve that supplies sensation to the skin is cut during the surgey its not a complication and sometimes it cannot be avoided during the surgery procedure
what you have is this
infrapatellar branch of saphenous nerve injury after total knee arthroplasty
pregabalin 75mg once a day this is specifically for nerve pain can be tried but sometimed it can cause mild sleepiness
