What Causes Stiffness In The Neck , Headache And Ear Pain After An Accident?

I was in a car accident on Monday. The airbag deployed knoking mybhead into the window along with the impcat with the car. I do not remember the accident I just remember opening my eyes and seeing it. I felt my head hit the window. It s been five days since and I have had headach non stop since. Sharpnpain in my ears. Also pain on the other side oposte of where I hit the window. I always have a sharp pain/dull aching and huge lump where my head hit the window. I have stuttered and forgoten things I normally would not. I have stiff neck and Its hard for me to lay my head on a pillow without discomfort. Is this all normal with concussion!? I m afraid tonmove my head sometimes and laying down hurts my head. I have pain in my eyes that come and goes as well as in my shoulders and neck. I never been in an accident or had a concussion before. I m afraid to go to the Dr. For cat scan. It scares me. I guess I just want to know of this will all go away and is normal with concussion.

Concussion is altered mental status that may or may not be accompanied by loss of consciousness following head trauma. The cause of headache could be due to swelling and edema of of scalp tissues. The earache could be due to either injury to ear canal or ear drum.CT scan of brain is the minimum investigation done in cases of head injury.Your symptoms doesnt pin point to any serious intracranial pathology clinically, but always better to go for imaging.
