What Causes Stiffness In The Hand After A Wrist Fracture?

I fractured my right wrist on Feb. 3, 2017. I had alot of swelling in hand area . Was put in a full splint by er doctor until I could see specialist on Feb. 6, 2017. Two days after being put in full cast on the 6th I had exccessive swelling of the hand. Was left in cast for 4 weeks. When removed on March 6,2017 I could not move or use hand or fingers at all. I was told that I had a claw hand / stiff hand. I have been in pysical therapy since 3-23-17 and am still stiff and limited in use of hand and fingers. Could this be my condition ?
