General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Early morning stiffness could be due to rheumatoid arthritis. I advice you to:
- Not to work in case of stiffness & pain
- Exercise
- Low lipid & high fiber diet
- Physiotherapy
- Tests like CBC, renal & liver function tests, RA factor, CRP & ESR before starting drugs
- Anti-rheumatic drugs should be started within 6 weeks to 3 months of diagnosis
- Analgesics like ibuprofen for symptomatic relief

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Yogapriya Vasudevan, General & Family Physician
