What Causes Stiff, Painful, Swollen Joints With Reduced Bowel Movements?

A 72y/o female presents with progressively worsening pain and stiffness of her joints. She reports decreased range of motion and redness and swelling in the joints. She reports symptoms occur in the same joints on both sides of the body and are worse when she first wakes up

Hi there

This appears to be Rheumatoid arthritis. She needs to see a Rheumatologist or an Orthopaedic surgeon. Apply hot packs to the painful joints. Take pain killers for pain relief.
