What Causes Sticky White Discharge Along With Vaginal Bleeding During Periods?
I recently started using a menstrual cup, and have noticed that in addition to my normal menstrual flow, I have clear, extremely sticky and stringy egg-white discharge. I ve always associated this type of discharge with ovulation, but that doesn t make sense since 1) I m menstruating and 2) I m on birth control (Sprintec). I was just wondering if this type of discharge is normal and if it indicates anything in particular. Thanks!

Most possible likely chlamydia or trichomonas vaginalis infection involving the vagina. In my clinic, I recommend a swab test of the vaginal discharge with culture sensitivity and antibiotics, anti-fungal accordingly to cure the issue in best possible manner.
