What Causes Sticky Stool With Itchiness And Pain?

Hi, my husband has sticky stool that is hard to wipe up afterwards. It usually sticks to the toilet bowl and he has to wipe many times to get clean. He said his bowel movements have always been like this. Recently his butt has started itching and hurting.

Hi,

The first condition would be diet as long as the sticky stool is a concern. If no other or associated symptoms like abdominal pain, vomiting, fever are not there.

At the most it can be due to protozoa condition so on a tentative basis single dose of anti-protozoa like Secnidazole 1 g can be tried.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
