What Causes Sticky Sensation On The Tongue And Nose?

My elderly mother is experiencing an ongoing waxy feeling coating the inside of her mouth, tongue and nose. She claims it is sticky and that when moist she can get it to stick to her finger but it does not completely remove it and it rebuilds. There is no visible sign of any substance. She is obsesses with this.

may be she is in menopause and that is reason of dryness in mouth consult gynechologist and with hormonal supliment the condition may improve.
