What Causes Stabbing Pain On Left Side Of Chest?

Hi, whenever I drink coke or diet coke and eat regular chocolate I get a stabbing pain on my left hand side of my chest. It only lasts a couple of seconds but it is very uncomfortable. I thought it was sugar related but I can eat crisps and sweets and it does not effect me. Any idea what could be the cause of this. Thank you.

Thanks for your question on HCM.
Since your pain is related to drinking coke and eating chocolate, I think isis due to hyper acidity. As both coke and chocolate can increase gastric acid secretions.
And as a rule in left sided chest pain, we need to rule out cardiac cause first.
So get done ECG. If this is normal than stabbing pain must be because of hyper acidity.
Try to follow these steps for better symptomatic relief.
1. Avoid hot and spicy food.
2. Avoid large meals, instead take frequent small meals.
3. Avoid stress and anxiety.
4. Start proton pump inhibitor.
5. Go for walk after meals.
6. Keep 2 - 3 pillows under head in the bed.
7. Avoid chocolates and coke if possible.
