I am 55, female, no kids (by choice), was recently diagnosed at the ER w/severe diverticulitis, and the abdominal stabbing pains led to an MRI which also showed an exploding absess (hence, the stabbing pain) and a polyp (smaller than a grape, but bigger than a pea). 5 days in the hospital and my bloodwork finally came through Ok w/reduced white blood cells b/c of the absess. A colonoscopy is forthcoming. Meantime, my bowel movemements have a major amount of Vaseline type discharge. This is my major question. Sometimes, all that comes out is the Vaseline consistency discharge. I don t mean to be too graphic ... HELP
