What Causes Spots With Pus Discharge On Nose?

I am a male of 65 and over the last few months I have recurring spots on my nose, they fill with puss and when they reach a head I release the puss. They then appear to heal up but after another day or so another spot appears somewhere else on my nose. In the parst I hardly had any spots at all. Why now are these so pots occurring ? I would appreciate your advise, thank you Doctor. MG

Hello Mr MG, Welcome to HCM
Recurrent pustules at your age requires some tests to check for underlying conditions, esp diabetes or any other illnesses. As you haven't mentioned any history of disease or regular medication.
Take a course of antibiotic (azithromycin for 5 days) and apply fusidic acid ointment. If they recur, get the pus tested for culture and sensitivity.
At the same time check your sugar levels, lipid and kidney profile.
Don't pick on them as you increase chance of spreading infection.
Consult a dermatologist if persisting, to rule out whether acne or other gland lesions
