What Causes Spots To Appear On The Pancreas In MRI?

I had a chest X-Ray a few weeks ago in the ER and they found some growths on my liver. They explained them to be hemangioma and that I should follow up with my doctor. My doctor sent me for an MRI and called me with my results. She said they were very large about 8cm and that some don t really look like blood vessels, however that is usually what they are. She referred me to get a biopsy on them, and the continued to tell me they found a 4mm spot on my pancreas and just said they would keep an eye on it and sent me to get blood work. What could the spot mean? And should I push to get a biopsy on that was well? I m just wondering if either of these have to do with my abdominal pain I ve been having these last few months.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Spots on pancreas can appear from various derangements as chronic pancreatic inflammation, alcohol consumption (if applicable), calcium homeostasis issues, malabsorption disorders, parathyroid hormone issues and else. It is best recommended to get a biopsy for final diagnosis and management in accordance to that only.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
