What Causes Sporadic Throat Pain Along With Aching Legs In A Child?

Hi, My 8 year old daughter is complaining of her legs aching - she has complained of a sore throat off and on for a couple of weeks, and she has a very tender spot on the lower left side of her back. She does not have a fever; but had a 100.9 temperature 5 days ago when the aches in her legs started. Her arms also were sore but they are better now and she is only complaining about her legs.

I am Dr Aimen Nasir. I have read your question completely, i understand your concern and will try to help you in best way possible.

As you told she has sore throat on and off for few weeks with these complaints and as she is 8 years old.
If she came to my clinic i would have done the following test for her to rule out the chances of having Rheumatic Fever.
●Throat culture
●ASOT
●ESR
●Complete Blood Count
●CRP
●Electrocardiography(further tests)
●Echocardiography(further tests)

Few symptoms of rheumatic fever are post sore throat:
Joint pains
Fever
Red spots
Nodules on body
Body ache
