What causes spontaneous bleeding from the foot? Two friends (ages 58 and 80) within the last month have been in the shower and noticed blood in the water. Both had blood spurting from a tiny hole in their foot. One description: It looked like a wire was coming out of my foot - but it was a thin stream of blood spurting up. Another said the bathroom looked like a murder had been committed because she kept turning to figure out where the blood was coming from and the blood squirting from her foot splattered the room. Neither experienced any pain; the bleeding stopped when pressure was applied. Thanks for your help.
