Thank you for posting your question in Health Care Magic . I can understand your concern.
I can understand that you are pretty anxious about your health.
Your blood pressure shot up to 165/87 mm Hg and you were rightly given nitro tablets for the squeezing chest pain.
By battery of heart tests I think you mean an electrocardiogram , ECHO ,
lipid profile and all.
See, this type of
acute chest pain can occur due to many reasons , the most alarming of which is
Acute myocardial infarction (
Heart attack) . By the battery of tests done in the hospital hopefully that was ruled out.
As a matter of fact around 43% of chest pain without myocardial infarction , occurs due to gastro-esophageal causes like heart burn.
I think you are very anxious; that is causing even more distress .
Be patient . I think you are taking
proton pump inhibitors to reduce the heart burn. If not take tablet
Pantoprazole 40 mg - once daily in empty stomach X 10 days.
I would also suggest you to visit a cardiologist with all your reports . Tell him about your
anxiety. I think he can help you out.
Also go for regular blood pressure check ups.
Hope this helps.
Post any other question. We will be happy to help.
Have a nice day. Regards.
