What Causes Sores On Labia Before Or During Menstrual Cycle?
I have sores on my left labia it hurts like burns and it always comes b4 or during my menstrual period. I bn having this problem for years now sometimes it s just a pain but no sores. And when I get sores I got lamp gland on my thigh and it hurts n the sore takes 7 days to 2 weeks to heal. Plz help
As per my clinical experience, the peri menstrual period is usually containing raised number of micro organisms over the external genitalia due to hormone changes induced vaginal flora alteration. As there is transient drop in the immunity of the skin as well as general body system, there is sore development in various stages over the labia. However, the tampon induced sores must be ruled out prior to considering other options.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
