General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Since you are a male, nipple soreness may be due to nipple fissure or infection. Take anti inflammatory medicine, it should subside. However, it can also be due to hormonal issues. Male breast cancer is rare, though some cases have been reported. Sometimes, gynecomastia can occur due to liver issues. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP. If needed get mammography & biopsy done to stay on the safer side. Your treatment will depend on the pathology detected.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
