Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
So I have had a sunburn for two days so far and the sunburn is located on my lower back. My lower back doesn t burn as much as it did yesterday, but now it is sore in a few places, and it feels like I ve been kicked and punched in my back. Why is my lower back sore? Is it a sunburn symptom?
Hello dear, I appreciate your concern. If you are having sunburn on lower back and it is on bony prominences then it is more likely to be healed slowly because of frequent irritation. I advise you apply calamine lotion over the sore area. Sleep on one side of the body preferably left side. You can alternatively apply steroid ointment on the sore area to reduce burning and itching. Hope I have solved your query. thanks.
