What Causes Soreness In Chest?

I had a chest infection 5 weeks ago where I had a course of antibiotics. I ve had a slight cough ever since not through the night only every now and again of a day. If I have any coffe or cereal with milk I m worse! Do you think I still have a slight infection or my airways are still touchy? If I breathe in a gust of cold air conditioning this will make me cough! Today I feel like I have dust in my chest.

Hi. I can understand your concern.
Chronic cough is commonly seen in bronchitis and lung infection. Get a chest x ray done if is normal, no need to worry for lung infection.
Possibility of bronchitis is more in your case.
So better to consult pulmonologist and get done clinical examination of respiratory system and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test).
PFT is needed for the diagnosis of bronchitis.
It will also tell you about severity of the disease and treatment of bronchitis is based on severity only.
You may need inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS)
Don't worry, you will be alright.
