Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My nose around the bridge is soar right now. However, my nasal passage seems to be really open. I have typically suffered with block nasal passage (deviated septum) even afer (2) procedures done for be sinus problems years ago. I dont recall hitting or bumping my nose on anything to explain why it is so soar. But I cant believe how open my air way is now. Any thoughts?
What you are describing seems like a inflammation of the tissue of the nose from the inside. It doesn't necessarily need to be bumped to start. Maybe there was still an open wound from the last intervention and didn't heal completely.
The cartilage of the nose has few blood vessels so the healing takes longer or it is difficult. If it becomes worse or not better maybe you will need a treatment with antibiotics. Update me if you wish and I will be happy to suggest an antibiotic. For prescription you need to see a local doctor.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Klarida Papaqako, General & Family Physician
