What Causes Soreness And Tightness In The Throat?

always loose my voice and have sorethroat everytime i eat chocolates and ice cream even small amounts- now i have lost my voice again suddenly i just had a sore throat then lost my voice tried gurgling with warm water with salt drink lukewarm water but felt someone is holding my neck! What do i do?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of soreness and tightness in the throat which seems to be due to inflammation of tonsils and their enlargement. Infection spreading down till larynx and leading to hoarse voice.

I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist and get it examined completely and go for bod test done and start with proper course of antibiotics such as Azithromycin. Till then give warm compresses to throat .

Do warm saline gargles and take benadryl. Maintain proper oral hygiene by brushing and flossing. Do rinses with betadine as well.
