What Causes Soreness And Lump At The Base Of Wrist?
Wrist has been sore for a few days now. Felt a lump the size of a nickel at the base of my wrist. Yesterday it was really sore. Today it is bruising and swollen and area has doubled. This afternoon I noticed the vein coming from the area is becoming red and working its way up my forearm. I do not remember hitting it or falling. Any ideas or advice. It is hot to the touch and is painful to move my hand.

I really appreciate your concern, the possibility of formation of abscess need to be ruled out here and it can be managed with NSIAD (Non steroid anti-inflammatory drugs ) and best would be Tab Ibuprofen 400 mg three times in day hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day
