What Causes Soreness And Itching With Headaches After Hitting Head?

I was in a car crash 7 weeks ago and was knocked out after my head hit the dash board. CT came back normal. The bruising and pain was gone within the month and I have a few small concussion headaches still. In the last few days the area hit has become sore and itchy. Should I be worried?

Hello!

Thank you for asking on HCM!

Regarding your concern, I would explain that your symptoms seem to be related to a head concussion.

The soreness and itchiness, could be related to local inflammation of the soft tissues. But they do not indicate any serious medical disorder. So there is nothing to worry about!

I recommend taking painkillers during headache.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!
Wishing good health, Dr. Aida
