What Causes Soreness And Bleeding From The Vagina?

My vaginal area in sore so I thought I had a yeast infection so I took the Monistat 1 two days ago. Now I am bleeding. I think I am going through Meopause, because I have not had my period for the last 6 months. I am still in pain and do not know if I need to go to a doctor or if it is just a reaction to the Monistat 1.

Hi, I think you should consult a gynecologist for pelvic examination. Bleeding can be due to atrophic vaginitis. It needs to be confirmed by examination. Also get a ultrasound done to see the endometrial thickness. If it is more than 4 mm, you may need an endometrial biopsy to rule out endometrial carcinoma.
