What Causes Sore Throat With Fatigue, Nausea And Joint Pain?

I don t know if I should trust this or not, but my symptoms started today. It started with a sore throat that has dark red marks in the very back. I also have body aches that randomly become sharp at different points in my body. I m feel very fatigued and nauseas. And my skin feels sensitive, like when I rub my hands over it or my shirt rubs against it it feels raw. There isn t a rash though. I don t know if I m overreacting and it s just the flu, but things just feel wrong.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of sore throat with fatigue, nausea and joint pain. Well the symptoms you mention in query probably occurring due to bacterial/viral infection. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination as infection has already spread. Doctor may order throat swab test , viral culture test , complete blood profile and examine ear with otoscope . Doctor may prescribe antiviral drugs ( acyclovir ) at least for a week along with decongestants and anti inflammatory . Doctor may also refer you to orthopedic specialist for severe joint pain. For now do warm saline gargles , take steam , take proper rest , keep yourself hydrated and apply dry hot compresses to ear .
