What Causes Sore Throat While Suffering From Endocarditis?

Hi, I recently was diagnosed with endocarditis, and I have since had a negative blood culture. I now have a sore throat and am worried that I have staph again, my temp was 98.8 and I do have my period and I am a little anemic so I was wondering if I have staph again?

Hi, I'm dr.Anto

Endocarditis can be caused by streptococcus beta hemolyticus which has the same antigen as the heart.

Having sore throat before the endocarditis would indicate the source of it.

If you have sore throat right now and high temperature its a little chance you were having staphylococcus because you are in a regimen of antibiotic i suppose.

Sore throat can be caused by a wide range of variety, from virus to bacterial infection. Mostly its virus and it would reside within 5-7 days.

Get plenty of food, water and rest for the next 5 days.

Your period can be the source of little anemic and its common case, unless you are having fatigue, shortness of breath, you should go to ER.

Thank you.
