Hi.

Noted your history of recurrent sore throat, strep throat once and then said to have viral infection causing the symptoms of joint pains, headache and tiredness. The most common cause of recurrent problems is getting in contact with a person/s with viral infection with another strain and thus one gets on the recurrence as one contracts the infection before the body has recovered from the previous attack.

The only way to come out of this vicious cycle are as follows:
- Till you get a full recovery it is best to take a bed rest in a warm room
- Plenty of liquids orally and good diet
- Take multivitamins, mineral and trace elements for good recovery
- Symptomatic treatment with a good anti-inflammatory with painkiller properties like Ibuprofen and Paracetamol
- Avoid visitors
- Even after recovery, avoid the crowded places
- No hand shakes
- Wash hands with soap and water frequently.

All these measure will help you to come out of the existing problem and avoid recurrence. The rest of the treatment would be as advised by your treating doctor as per the clinical evaluation and blood reports. It is also needed to rule out other causes of such symptoms as weakened immunity can cause additional infection and diseases.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
