Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Sore Throat, Ear Pain, Dysphagia And Bloody Saliva?
I have had a sore throat and ear pain for a few days. The pain has been at its minimum during mornings and its peak at night, it has been hurting me to swallow. Today the pain has mostly gone away but earlier today when I brused my teeth and spit it came out red. Last time I checked I don't have any abrasions in my mouth so there is no reason why I should be bleeding that I know of. What should I do? See a doctor or wait to see if the symptoms worsen or get better first.
Sore throat and ear ache is related to some throat pathology. You also mentioned about difficulty in swallowing which is a positive point towards what I said earlier. For this you can take an antibiotic course along with pain killer medicines after consulting your doctor. About bleeding after brush, it might be due to hurting gums while brushing or any other tooth-gum related pathology. You need a dentist consultative. I pray you get well soon.
Regards!
