Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, i have a very bad painful sore throat that has lasted for almost 5 days now. Yesterday little bumps started to pop up in my mouth. I cannot get a good enough look at them, but they are squishy yet kind of hard at the same time. There has been no fever
Little bumps in mouth after having sore throat for 5 days can be most probably secondary to infection that is causing eruption of canker sores in mouth. Do not worry as it will heal gradually as the infection and inflammation will subside. You should start taking antibiotics like Augmentin or Azithromycin, anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen and do warm saline gargles. Yo can also gargle with specialised mouthwash like Magic Mouthwash to reduce pain, inflammation and infection.. Avoid spicy and irritant foods.. Drink warm water and suck throat lozenges. Chew Vitamin C pellet daily.. If there is no improvement in 4-5 days consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
