What Causes Sore Throat Along With Sputum Accumulation In Throat?

Last year I had sore throat and lost my voice for 2 days, after that I got my voice but I coughed about a month. Then I stopped cough but had sputum. After the sputum stopped, my throat felt uncomfortable. I feel a little sputum is in my throat but I couldn t spit it out. The sputum likes stick on my throat. This situation last about 10 month. About 10 years ago I had chronic pharynx and then recovered.

It is possible that your symptoms may be related to post nasal drip. This can persistent coughing, hoarseness and mucus in the back of the throat.

It may be due to allergies most commonly if persistent or due an acute infection such as the cough/cold.

If you can determine what causes your allergic reaction, this may help. You would then be able to reduce your exposure to it.
This can be done by noting if symptoms develop with exposure to possible allergens or by doing allergy testing.

The use of decongestant anti histamine combination may help. The use of a topical steroid spray may also be needed as well.
