What Causes Sore Throat Along With Headache And Cough?

I became ill on 12/24 with chills, cough, mild sore throat. 12/25 my temperature was below normal, head ache, cough, stayed in bed. The next day it felt like a cold. Improved within a few days. 1/3, temperature was 94 and i was freezing, cough, sore throat bacterial infection in one eye mild sore ears. Went to Med Stop, received Eye Drops and Antibiotics for 10 days. Still mild sore throat, mild sore ears, mild eye infection, dry cough. This has been going on for a long time. Do you think this is just a cold or maybe something else.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be due to recurrent bouts of pharyngitis.

Consult an ENT specialist and get a throat swab and start antibiotics according to the swab report.

As of now, you can do warm saline gargles for symptomatic relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
