Fever occurs due to your body s protective mechanism against the infection. You should start with antibiotics immediately and also ward saline gargles. Once you start antibiotics, the infection should subside in 5-6 days. If it doesn t , you may have to undergo furthur investigations. As far as tobacco chewing is concerned, tabacco is a cancer causing substance and the as such depends on a number of factors like the amount you consumed, the duration, the type.
