What Causes Sore Breasts After Periods?

I am 45 and my periods are still extremely regular give or take a week or two. I finished my cycle approx. 2 weeks ago and about one week ago my breasts became extremely sore. They are actually sore to the touch. Any thoughts? It is really uncomfortable. I shouldn t be starting my period for another couple weeks . . ??? Thank you.

- In my opinion, you're entering in perimenopause and your breasts are sore due to hormonal changes in this age.
- Use emollient for sore breast and take ibuprofen if you have pain.
