What Causes Soft Feeling Of The Tongue And Difficulty In Talking While On Salavix?

Hi. My father who is 88 has pulmary fibrosis. He is on oxygen and takes salavix tablets to create saliva and also werthers originals to stop him coughing. He says his tongue now feels like a sponge and causes him problems when talking. Can he take anything to help this tongue like a sponge???

it is dryness which is giving such feeling.can apply boroglycerine. withage and disease nothing more can be done . symptomatic treatment can be given.
